Camera Fright

I take my camera with me everywhere I go. You never know when you are going to want to take a picture. So, last night was the Mother/Son Round-Up at Caleb's school. I got myself all ready then my little cowboy ready. Then I was ready to take some pictures! But I couldn't find my camera.

I HATE when I can't find my camera. It is always at a horrible time. Like last night when we were all dressed up and couldn't take any pictures. I kept thinking that at least other people would bring their cameras, but I was sad because I wouldn't be able to take as many as I wanted to take.

Then I remembered...the last time I used it was last Sunday when Caleb and I went out to play in the snow. I had it in my coat pocket. So, I went and found my coat, and ta-da! There is was.

So, thankfully we got to take a picture before we left the house and then many at the event. I'm so glad I found it!

Phone Call With Caleb

Chris and Caleb are at home today since it is Spring Break. So, I called the house this morning to just check in and see what they were doing. I talked to Chris, and then I asked if I could talk to Caleb. Chris said "Hey, Caleb! Telephone for you!" without telling him who it was. So, Caleb comes to the phone and the first thing he says is "What is your name?" I said "Mommy". And in an immediately not as happy voice, he says "Oh, it's Mommy." Then a few seconds later he was ready to "hand you back to Daddy." Oh, well. I'm just glad he's been having fun hanging out with Daddy!

This Little Piggy

My mom had a good idea a few weeks back that I should crochet puppets for Caleb. I got really excited about this little project and dove in to find puppet patterns. And let me tell you! Puppet patterns are not easy to find. In fact, there are only a few free ones out there. And most of them just aren't all that cute.

So, anyway, I found a few patterns that I liked and then went and bought yarn. My first puppet was a pig since it looked like the easiest one to make.

So, here is the pig! Caleb has been so excited about this, and he can't wait for me to make him a tiger next!

2010 Ladies Retreat
