Memories

Ok, I am copying Brooke and Becky on this one...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot-- or just from blogland-- anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

One of the first things that pops in my mind...ok, this is kind of weird...is the time that you and Chris brought your special queso to Life Group and made a meal out of it for us with either chips or maybe baked potatoes? Anyway, it was really good! I have other memories, of course, but I thought I'd tell the first one I thought of. Maybe I'm hungry...

Wow, this is tough to choose.

I guess I'll pick coming to visit you in the hospital after you had Caleb. I was so happy and excited for you and you seemed so calm and relaxed and ready about everything. I was really impressed.

Second place is the time you clipped his fingernails over here at my house- at MY urging and reassurance that it was no big deal, then proceeded to nip his finger so it bled. I felt terrible because it was all my idea!

My first memory of you is sitting among us in your interview to become our ministry assistant. You were so very petite and soft spoken, but determined. You knew what you wanted and it was obvious that God has blessed you with the gifts to bless R.E. You have done an amazing job and were such a blessing to me! I know you continue to be a blessing to everyone else!

You know my memory - I think everyone does. What you did for Jake and I on our first visit to RE - what an amazing gesture. I knew we were family right from the start. There are tons of other memories - "Kiosk" (sp?) terribly funny now, Ladies Retreat, game nights, Caleb's birthday party at our house, the list goes on. I love you!!!
