Our Weekend/Friday

We had a wonderful weekend! Since it was Caleb's birthday weekend, it was packed full of fun!
Friday afternoon, Caleb's class had a party and got to eat cupcakes for his birthday! They all really enjoyed the cupcakes and were m-e-s-s-y! I'm sure all the other parents were real excited about those cupcakes too!

Another smile before the eating begins!
Dig in! Of course they all went for the icing first! I think that it really the only part that Caleb ate.

Caleb's 2nd Birthday

My baby is two today! I can't believe it! It is overwhelming when I think of how much I love him. He is my joy and a light of my life as well as for so many other people as well. It is amazing to see how much he has grown and learned in such a short amount of time. And he learns more and more every day! I am so proud of him...for the way he is such a good boy, for the was that he treats his friends and family...for so many different ways. I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for my big boy! Happy Birthday, Caleb! I love you!

Caleb and I went to lunch today for his birthday. A special lunch for Caleb and Mommy!

Bubbles!

I went to a meeting today where the speaker passed out wedding bubbles to us all to make a point. I immediately thought, "These would be perfect for me to leave in my purse for occasions when I need to entertain Caleb!" The other ladies that went with me decided that would be a good idea, so they all gave me their bubbles too! So, since this will be Caleb's first Sunday to not be in the nursery, if you see bubbles up in the balcony, don't worry! It's just one mom trying to entertain her kid before 2 yr old Bible Hour!

Carpet Cleaning Day

We are having our carpets cleaned at my house as I type this. We've only had them cleaned twice (today is the second time) in the 5 years we have lived in our house. I know, I know...yucky! But now that we have had them cleaned, I am hooked! I love having clean carpets. I wish I didn't have carpet, but if I have to have it, I want it clean! So, I am looking forward to walking in my house this afternoon and seeing no more stains in the living room and for the carpet to just look a little better. Ahh, I love clean carpet!

Darn It!

Don't you hate it when you stick money in a vending machine to get some candy or chips or cookies, or really anything, and it gets stuck?! I hate that! I always hold my breath as the little spirally thing is turning. Most of the time it works out fine, but every once in awhile, the item that you are so greatly desiring gets stuck. This happened to me today. I had eaten my lunch and was still hungry (I hate that too!), so I went to go get some peanut M&M's. I put my money in, the spirally thing started turning, but at the last second it got stuck. I stood there for a second wondering what I was going to do. My M&M's were just hanging there. My first thought was to stick in more money and maybe I would get two bags of M&M's. But then I thought that was a bad idea because I would probably only get one bag out of putting double money in. So they next step was to try to shake the machine. I smacked it from the front...didn't work. Then I decided to smack it from the side. It worked! I barely had to smack it, and out my M&M's came! Yay! I beat the machine! Go me!

It Is Finished!

After three nights of building Caleb's new swingset, it is finished! Caleb absolutely loves it! He can climb up into the fort all by himself and then slide down. He also loves to swing, and it looks like he kind of knows what to do. He sat in it the other day and immediately started pushing and pulling and was making himself go. Mommy is hoping that he will start wanting to play more outside and even maybe some on his own!

Caleb's Cool Present

Caleb got a present from the groom this weekend even though he wasn't in the wedding. Brian has been working on a project for Microsoft with the Dallas Cowboys. When he first started the project, The Cowboys made him a personalized locker nameplate. When it got closer to the wedding, he asked them if they would make nameplates for the kids in his wedding. They agreed, and so Caleb now has his own official Dallas Cowboys nameplate. They don't sell them anywhere...it's just what they make for the players. Caleb doesn't quite appreciate it yet, but he will someday. He will probably have to have a sports room next so he can display his cool nameplate. I'm sure it'll be something that he will treasure for a very long time!

Happy Father's Day!

I realize this is two days late, but hey, better late than never. Caleb and I LOVE Chris! He brings so much joy to our lives, keeps us laughing, loves on us, and is an all around wonderful Daddy!

Caleb got Chris a tie for Father's Day. Yeah, I know...how cliche! But since Daddy only has Tobasco ties, we thought it was time for a new pretty one that he can wear for his concerts, etc.

Here are pictures of Caleb sporting Daddy's tie before Daddy came home from running errands on Sunday. Caleb had fun giving it to him!
Happy Father's Day, Chris! We love you so much!

My Weekend/Saturday/Picture Time

As promised, I have attached pictures of how Chris entertained himself while all the other pictures were going on. He had me cracking up! And, no, we don't sit around doing this kind of stuff at home all the time...just every once in awhile! As soon as I saw what he was doing, I said "You realize these are going on the blog, don't you?" Enjoy!
