I hate the feeling after I've just pulled out of my driveway that I did not close my garage. I have had this feeling a couple of times lately. And the thing is, when I have this feeling I will not go any further. I always have to turn around, drive back home and check the garage. I've never left it open, but it always just feels better to go ahead and check anyway. But it's so frustrating when I have that feeling and know I have to turn around!

I know what you mean, since we have two garage doors, one facing the driveway and one facing the alley I have twice the worry!
Many times I've come home to discover that I closed one door and not the other.
It's so funny that you just blogged about this. Tim and I just got home from dinner to discover he didn't close the garage when he got home at 4:30pm. It's now 9:00pm.
I hate it when I get that feeling! I'm glad I have a retired, stay-at-home friend 2 houses away that I can call and say, "Billy, I think I did it again!" It gives him fuel for joking with me, and he's always glad to check it out. Couldn't do without friends!
Oh my goodness... I do this all the time! It drives me crazy! I can't tell you the number of times I've looped back around through my neighborhood to check on my garage door! Reading your blog made me think about it all over again! Did I close it this morning??? Yikes! I can't remember!
Are we creatures of habit or what??? I do the same thing with locking my car door...I just do it automatically, but can never remember if I did or not!!! Gr-r-r-r...
Till just now when I reread this, I thought you were wondering if you closed the "garBage". And I couldn't figure out why you were so worried if you closed the garbage. :)
i just read your post to casey and we decided that we are the opposite of you :) we both get that "feeling" sometimes, but neither of us ever turn around! that is probably not a good thing-one day we might be robbed! haha.
