At midnight last night (or actually this morning) Chris woke me up by saying "There is a sound going off in Caleb's room!" I immediately recognized it as his cd player/alarm clock. He had been messing around with it last night while I was putting his toys in his toy box, and I guess he turned the alarm function on.
So, I ran to his room and tried to turn the alarm off. I have never really messed with his alarm though, so I didn't know how to work it. After messing with it for a few seconds, I decided to just unplug it. But his bed was in the way. So I had to call to Chris to come move his bed so that I could unplug it.
Meanwhile, Caleb is scared to death and is screaming his head off. Shoot, I would be scared if my alarm went off at midnight too!!!
So, we finally got it taken care of, and I rocked Caleb back to sleep in order to get him to calm down. In the midst of rocking him, it struck me as really funny (it might have only been funny because it was midnight) that the song that was playing when the alarm went off was "Rise and Shine!" How perfect is that?!

Now that it is over it is really funny. Sorry you had to go through it but at least it was a funny song to make light of the nerve wracking situation. :)

our kids mess with the alarms also. one time the alarm next to my bed went off at 6 AM when I was not planning on getting up early and had already been awake several times during the night with Lucas. I was not amused.
