Happy Thanksgiving

I LOVE Thanksgiving! I might even like it more than Christmas. It's all the fun of seeing people, hanging out, and eating great food without the pressure of having to buy presents for everyone. I love Christmas too, but the amount of presents I always have to buy seems overwhelming.

Tonight, we are going to Chris' brother's house to eat dinner and spend the night. Then in the morning we are going to my family's house for lunch and then back to Chris' family for dinner and more spending the night. That is a whole lot of turkey!

I am looking forward to time off work, time to relax, time to play with Caleb, time to visit with family and do things that I normally can't do because I'm at work. I can't wait!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'm s-o-o-o-o excited about families gathering this holiday...just will miss our Marcus & Amanda!!

Your comment on Christmas is the perfect seque to an invite. Here's the scoop:

Family 101 on December 1st @ Gilmer-Baldridge Church of Christ, Ennis

"Do the holidays cause you stress? Tired of trying to find that one last gift? Does it feel like the true meaning of the holidays gets lost during this season? Then you’ll want to come and join the Women’s Ministry as they bring Jim Hackney to speak on "Keeping the Prospective During the Holidays" on Sat, December 1st.

Remember to invite your friends and to register your children for the free child care by November 29th. Childcare will be offered from 5:45 until 9:30 p.m. so that parents can attend the 45 min talk at 5:45 and then spend some time together or with friends following the speaker. Also, please note that snacks will be provided for the children, but dinner should either be brought or eaten before the children come to the event."

I'll be doing child care that night, so I could keep Caleb for you and Chris to go to dinner or shopping or whatever.

Just an idea...and Jim Hackney is a good speaker.
See you shortly :-)
