Is it really all about tryptophan, or the mounds and mounds of food that we eat at Thanksgiving? There may be something to tryptophan and making you sleepy, but I seem to think it is more in the massive amounts of food that we eat in a short period of time. What do you think?

I don't really know, but I had less to eat this Thanksgiving than normal because I am trying to lose weight and so did Steve because he is trying too. We went to someone else's house who had a great feast. The people who I noticed ate the most were all nodding off to sleep on the couch right afterwards with one even snoring, while others of us were visiting. I did not get sleepy, so.....maybe it is eating more and not the tryptophan?????
I think you're right in that it's all the food that you stuff yourself with. I've heard the tryptophan has to be consumed in HUGE quantities for it to actually make you sleepy. Hmmm...
